Frequently asked questions

What is Live From Laurel Canyon?

A live concert experience celebrating the songwriters of Laurel Canyon — The Mamas & The Papas, The Byrds, CSNY, Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Carole King, Jackson Browne, the Eagles and more — performed by a seven-piece band and woven together with the true stories behind the songs.

Is it a tribute band?

It's more than a tribute act — it's part concert, part storytelling. The band doesn't impersonate anyone; it interprets the songbook while the stories and multimedia projections carry you up the canyon, from the Sunset Strip to Lookout Mountain.

How long is the show?

A full evening: two sets of roughly 45–55 minutes with an intermission. An 80-minute single-set version is available for festivals and series programming.

Who is in the band?

A seven-piece ensemble led by Brian Chartrand — three lead vocalists plus electric guitar, keys, bass and drums. Meet everyone on The Show page.

How do I book the show for my venue or series?

Head to the booking page — the show tours performing-arts centers, theatres and festivals nationwide, as the flagship production or an LfLC Presents edition.
